I am a clinical psychologist who became interested in mediation - while taking a class on alternative dispute resolution (ADR) at Creighton Law School. I completed the initial 30 hour training program 1/7/94 at the Metro Mediation Center (MMC) and the NE ODR Family Mediation Training (9/94). I completed the Divorce Mediation/Conflict Resolution class at the Northern California Mediation Center (taught by Joan Kelly and Nancy Foster - 10/95). I received recognition for my volunteer work at the MMC at the 1996 Mediation Conference, wrote a Creighton Law Review article on Mediation (1996), and joined the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts. Mediation works for families!
