Garvey, Joan

I have been an attorney in Nebraska since 1996. I started my own practice in 2010 which is a general practice that includes mediation, juvenile law and family law. I previously practiced for 13 years at Cassem, Tierney Adams, Gotch, and Douglas in civil litigation where I was a partner, while there I represented many clients in meditations. I completed Basic and Family Mediation Training, in 2007 and 2008. I am affiliated with the Concord Center and where I have been co-mediating parent plans and small claims cases. I am also listed with the Douglas County Conciliation Court as a 4.3 parenting plan mediator. Prior to law school I was a Physician Assistant for 10 years practicing medicine in areas of family practice, correctional medicine, internal medicine, employee health, and bone marrow transplantation. Additionally, I have done volunteer work with neighborhood associations, schools, and victims of domestic violence.
