Omaha’s 13^th Annual Adoption Day - 9:00 a.m. to Noon, Douglas County Courthouse, Civic Center side - Cafeteria area and center hallway

11:00 a.m. – 2 p.m., Chili Feed at the Omaha Children’s Museum

Press Conference:

8:30 a.m. Second floor Legislative Chambers

Remarks by Host Judge Wadie Thomas and special guest, Brenna Poindexter, a Wendy’s Wonderful Kids Adoption recruiter who also adopted a teenage daughter from foster care.  

This year the celebration again received a grant from the Gilbert M. and Martha H. Hitchcock Foundation allowing for an expanded celebration including a balloon artist, face painting, magician; gifts for all the children being adopted; professional family photos; t-shirts; flowers for parents and more…
