This is a highly responsible administrative support and secretarial position. Requires decision-making responsibilities, considerable knowledge of clerical functions, training and supervising clerical staff, handling sensitive administrative matters on a daily basis and the exercise of independent judgment. Prepare correspondence as required, order forms and equipment as directed, maintain records on statistics, personnel, purchasing, billing, travel expenses, budget, and other matters. Attend meetings and conferences as required. Coordinate and administer client assessments, arrange and conduct alcohol and drug testing of clients, assist clerical staff with necessary computer set-up information, monitor database information. Graduation from high school or its equivalent. Knowledge of the Probation System policies and procedures regarding client supervision, understand and follow oral and written instructions, effectively organize time, set priorities, and work under stressful conditions; knowledge of legal terminology and general court procedures; working knowledge of NPACS; knowledge of modern office practices, procedures, systems, and equipment.
The ability to speak Spanish is desired but not required. A State of Nebraska application for employment and resume must be received by the closing date/time.
