Criminal Action:  First degree sexual assault of a child and child pornography.

Action Taken by Trial Court:  Newman was convicted on one count of first degree sexual assault of a child and six counts of manufacture of child pornography.

Assignments of Error on Appeal:  On appeal, Newman challenges the district court’s denial of motions to suppress evidence, the court’s denial of a motion for discharge, the court’s conclusion that there was sufficient evidence to support the sexual assault conviction, and the sentences imposed by the district court.
