Description: 

This position will report directly to the three Chief Probation Officers in the Northeast Service Area.  This position coordinates all components of statistical data information for the area; is responsible for the creation and management of data associated with application dependencies relating to the correct or correction of entry processes, enforcement of system policies, and analyzing district processes; is the liaison between Probation staff and administration and will be a tester, trainer and will track issues for the service area on the management information system; and will provide training and support for email, word processing and overall computer and software issues.  Work at this level involves functioning as a leader, facilitator, advocate, and trainer.  Direction is received from the Chief Probation Officers or designees and the Office of Probation Administration who will review work through reports and evaluate operational results, however, the position is expected to exercise a high degree of initiative and judgment in the performance of assigned responsibilities. 


Requirements include post high school coursework/training in computer information or statistical analysis and a bachelor’s degree or higher in statistics, business, applied mathematics, sociology or related fields is desired. Work experience may be substituted for education.  Work includes utilizing standard and ad hoc reporting tools in the collection, preparation and archiving of detailed statistical data for weekly, monthly or annual reporting; developing and maintaining a process regarding data maintenance and management of probation/offender data, providing information technology training for all new employees, training existing staff on changes pertaining to new software; ability to learn all computer and other information technology applications utilized by the Nebraska Probation System; capacity to deliver data analysis reports; ability to communicate regularly and effectively with team members and supervisory staff; ability to facilitate satisfactory communication and resolution of data analysis issues.  

The ability to speak Spanish is desired but not required.
