Ronald Murtaugh, Chief of Police at Ralston, has been selected to serve as Judicial Administrator for Nebraska’s largest county court in Omaha. Murtaugh will remain police chief until February 6, 2017, when he starts his new position with judicial administration at Douglas County Court. Judge of the District Court, 1st Judicial District, Daniel E. Bryan, Jr., is retiring effective December 31, 2016. In his announcement letter to Chief Justice Mike Heavican, Judge Bryan thanked the people of the Tenth and First Judicial Districts of Nebraska for trusting him to serve as a state court judge for the last 27 years. “Always in my heart, Nebraska is home wherever I go,” wrote Bryan.
