The Administrative Office of the Courts and Probation is currently accepting applications for a full-time Judicial Branch Education Program Director in our Judicial Branch Education (JBE) Branch. The JBE Program Director is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive education program for Judicial Branch employees. Responsibilities may include managing and supervising to education program staff and direct reports; planning, organizing, developing and implementing a wide range of training activities and conferences; overseeing training records, resources and supplies; working with committees to determine education needs, and creation and delivery of education; using evaluation mechanisms to monitor effectiveness of education; and determining resource need for education; identifying potential sources for funding; preparing and monitoring education budget, expenditures; writing and presenting grant proposals for educational projects. Facilitating training as assigned or needed.  Up to 20% travel across the state may be required.

Work involves, but is not limited to, supervising staff, which including prioritizing, assigning and scheduling work; coaching staff; conducting performance evaluations; ensuring staff are educated; ensuring employees follow policies and procedures, and maintain a healthy and safe working environment; and making hiring, termination, and disciplinary recommendations.  Identifying long-term education objectives and goals for the Judicial Branch and providing directions on the implementation. Overseeing the Judicial Branch Education programs; monitoring activities for compliance with policies, procedures, and strategy; providing guidance, consultation and technical support for programs, projects, systems, and processes. Monitoring and evaluating programs; investigating problems and issues; performing research on trends; analyzing and interpreting data and information; and developing and implementing program improvements. Aids in planning, evaluating, and forecasting resource needs; assists with preparation of budget and tracking of expenditures; reviews vendor invoices and submits payment requests; and recommends purchases.  Developing, reviews and revising policies and procedures to enhance programs and to address issues; developing and maintaining management reporting, program documentation, correspondence, and presentation materials.  Curriculum development and training facilitation.  Performs other duties of a similar nature as assigned.

Hiring Rate:  $80,170.34 Annually

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  Bachelor’s degree in related field; 5 years’ experience in the management of adult education programs; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience working in a court is strongly preferred.
