The investiture ceremony of Judge Jeffrey J. Funke as a Justice of the Nebraska Supreme Court representing the Fifth Judicial District will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 5, 2016, in the Warner Legislative Chamber of the Nebraska State Capitol. Retired District Court Judge Randall Rehmeier will open the ceremony. Justice Max Kelch will administer the oath of office. Governor Pete Ricketts will present the certificate of appointment. Judge Todd Hutton will make remarks regarding the appointment of Judge Funke. The public is invited to attend.The vacancy is due to the retirement of Judge William Connolly on August 1, 2016.
