DRUG TECHNICIAN

District #2 – Norfolk

Responsible for conducting drug screens utilizing various sanctioned testing methodologies, collecting and disposing of urine specimens, maintaining accountability for specimen identification, communicating on a regular basis with probation staff and document results of drug testing for case files, testifying in court regarding positive drug screens, collecting statistics pertaining to drug screens for submission to Administrative Office of Probation. Prior experience working with offender populations helpful as is substance abuse or chemical testing training. Ability to communicate effectively with staff and offenders, capable of organizing and prioritizing daily work activities. Graduation from high school or its equivalent and successfully complete required training associated with drug screening methodologies.

The ability to speak Spanish is desired but not required. The salary ranges from $9.714 to $10.990 per hour.
