Proceedings below:  The juvenile court denied Appellant’s motion for discharge. On appeal, the Court of Appeals affirmed. See In re Interest of Shaquille H., 20 Neb. App. 141 (2012). Appellant filed a Petition for Further Review which was granted by the Nebraska Supreme Court.

Issues on Review:  The Court of Appeals erred in (1) affirming the juvenile court’s order denying the motion for discharge pursuant to Neb. Rev. Stat. § 43-271(1)(b); (2) finding the minor child’s constitutional right to a speedy trial was not violated.
