
Bob Denton was appointed Chief Probation Officer in Fremont in May, 2006. He began his Probation career as a probation officer in Omaha in November, 1989, and transferred to Fremont in June 1993. He was appointed Chief Deputy Probation Officer in Fremont in January, 2002, and Acting Chief Probation Officer in July, 2005.
Denton has a bachelor’s degree in behavioral science from Midland College in Fremont and a master’s degree in human services from Bellevue University. He also completed the Management Development Certification program from the University of Nebraska/Lincoln.
He is currently chairperson of Probation’s Public Relations Committee and served as chairperson for the 2009 Supreme Court Employee Recognition Committee. He has served on the Community Corrections Programs Committee, Probation’s Policy and Procedures Committee and the Probation Fee Study Committee. He currently serves as the chairperson for the Dakota County Juvenile Services Team, as well as the Dodge County Juvenile Services Team.
