
Lori Griggs was appointed Chief Probation Officer for the juvenile office in Lincoln in December, 1999. She began her Probation career as a probation officer in Lincoln in 1989.
Griggs has a bachelor of arts degree in behavioral science/psychology from Midland Lutheran College in Fremont. She has also completed the Management Development Certification program from the University of Nebraska/Lincoln.
In 2005 she was awarded the Nebraska Juvenile Justice Association’s Service to Youth Award.
She served as chairperson of Probation’s Policy Development committee from 2006 – 2009, chairperson of the Juvenile committee from 2006 to present, is a member of the Justice Behavioral Health Committee, the Independence Center Advisory Board, and the Department of Education’s Ad Hoc Committee for the Education of Children in Out-of-Home Placements. She served as the Board President for CASA for Lancaster County from 1999 to 2003.
