Ron Broich was appointed Chief Probation Officer in Omaha in February, 2006. He began his employment with Probation as a probation officer in Omaha in September, 1987, and was promoted to Chief Deputy Probation Officer in 1994.
Broich has a bachelor of science degree in psychology from the University of Iowa. He completed the U.S. Department of Justice National Institute of Corrections Executive Orientation Program at Sam Houston University. He also completed the Management Development Certification program from the University of Nebraska/Lincoln.
In 2001, he was the recipient of the Bob Keller Outstanding Supervisor Award.
He currently serves on Probation’s Policy Development Committee, the Domestic Violence Coordinating Council of Greater Omaha Executive Committee, the Douglas County Criminal Justice Management Council, the Nebraska Supreme Court Evidence-Based Practices Committee, and the Probation/Corrections Strategic Planning Committee.
