§ 1-512.  Judicial Branch Education Advisory Committee; authority.

   The Nebraska Supreme Court Judicial Branch Education Advisory Committee shall have authority to:

   (A) Develop and review standards and administrative rules addressing such issues as the criteria for mandatory education for judges, criteria for approval of qualified activities, reporting requirements, sanctions for noncompliance, exemptions, and confidentiality of records for approval of the Court.

   (B) Develop and review standards and administrative policies for education of all non-judge judicial branch employees including criteria for approval of qualified activities, reporting requirements, sanctions for noncompliance, and exemptions for the approval of the Court.

   (C) Make recommendations to the State Court Administrator regarding budget requests and pursue grant funding.

   (D) Develop policies regarding funding for travel and other related education expenses for all employees both in-state and out-of-state.

   (E) Service as a liaison to the various employee groups in the development of curriculum and participate in the design of specialized programming.

   (F) Participate in additional activities as assigned by the Supreme Court in order to promote excellence in the administration of justice through quality education.
