Requesting a Court Interpreter

Courts and Probation offices that require an interpreter for an evidentiary hearing, an extended interview or court proceeding, probation service, or a trial, please submit an interpreter request to your local interpreter coordinator or email it to NSC.Interpreters@nebraska.gov.  Users in Douglas County or statewide may contact Adrian.Hinojosa@nebraska.gov.   Users in Lancaster County and statewide may contact Kari.Corkle@nebraska.gov.  Users in District 2 should submit their request to Olivia.Brockman@nebraska.gov, and users in Districts 9 and 10 should submit their request to Gladis.Zapata@nebraska.gov.  Requests should be submitted as soon as the Court or Probation office becomes aware of the need for an interpreter.  Include the information below in every interpreter request you submit.  We cannot assign an interpreter without these details.

  • Court or Probation Office and location, including street address
  • Point of Contact
    • Name, Email, Telephone
  • Hearing or Probation meeting date, time, expected duration
  • Case caption and Number
  • Type of Proceeding
  • Language Required
  • Limited English Proficient individual’s name and role
    • Defendant, Plaintiff, Juvenile, Parent, Probationer, Witness

Please be mindful that if a court interpreter has an assignment which is canceled within 2 business days of the time the assignment is due to begin, the court shall, by written authorization, allow the interpreter payment for all the reserved time.
