Action Taken by Trial Court: Following a jury trial, Appellant was convicted of theft by unlawful taking and title fraud. She was subsequently sentenced to 3 to 5 years’ imprisonment for the theft conviction and to 1 to 1 year imprisonment for the fraud conviction.
Assignments of Error on Appeal: On appeal, Appellant alleges that there was insufficient evidence presented to support her conviction for theft by unlawful taking. Appellant also alleges that she received ineffective assistance of trial counsel when counsel failed to object to the victim of the alleged theft testifying regarding the value of the property taken.
