Certification Training for Court Reporting Personnel

Court Reporting Personnel who are working toward becoming a Certified Court Electronic Reporter and/or a Certified Court Electronic Transcriptionist now have access to a Judicial Branch webpage where they can register for and complete online courses offered by Blueledge, a leader in online training for legal professions.   

  • The 80-hour online Legal Transcription course is designed to be taken by a person wishing to become certified through AAERT as a legal transcriptionist. Individuals taking this course will learn about the court system, legal procedure, terminology, ethics, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • The 60-hour online Digital Reporting course is designed to give participants a thorough understanding of digital court reporting to cover all legal proceedings, including court work and depositions.
  • The 160-hour online Complete Digital Reporting and Transcription Package is designed to be taken by a person wishing to become certified through AAERT as a digital court reporter and legal transcriptionist.
  • The shorter 15-hour online Prepare to Pass course is designed as a final review before taking the AAERT CET and CER exams.
