    The Nebraska Supreme Court has instituted a rule that provides special consideration for attorneys who are military spouses seeking to join the Nebraska practicing bar. The new rules allow a military spouse who is practicing elsewhere to motion in to Nebraska at a reduced fee. While a motion application typically requires the applicant provide a qualifying bar exam score from some state, this type of application waives that rule. This court-specific schedule should be used in conjunction with the state agency schedule, which covers general office documents, like checks and receipts.     The Nebraska Supreme Court has approved changes to the templates for citations used in county court, effective January 1, 2019. The changes to §6-1463 and Appendix 5 citations include: transition to electronic citations where possible; transition to standard-sized paper for all citations; elimination of Supreme Court requirements for agency copies of citation; inclusion on the citations of additional fields necessary for the courts, prosecutors and law enforcement; and clarification of existing...Read more
