Vladimir Bazan has been selected for the Nebraska State Court Interpreter Coordinator position based in Lincoln. He will begin working full-time on Tuesday, January 2, 2018. Bazan has served as Interpreter Coordinator in Hall County and the 10th Judicial District since 2014 and has been a Nebraska court certified Spanish interpreter since 2012. A swearing-in ceremony for Kerri Irwin as Clerk Magistrate of Dakota County Court was held December 13, 2017, in the Dakota County Court in Dakota City, Nebraska. Judge Kurt Rager presided over the ceremony with Judge Doug Luebe participating in the event. Irwin has worked in the court system since 2003 when she started as a Records Clerk in Dakota County. Judge David K. Arterburn, York College class of 1977, was presented with the College’s ‘Alumni of the Year’ award during the College’s Homecoming in October 2017. The Sherwood Foundation has awarded the Administrative Office of the Courts /Office of Dispute Resolution (ODR) $1 million to integrate the restorative justice practice of Victim Youth Conferencing (VYC) across the state.
