Supreme Court Justices travelled to Grand Island to hold Law Day events along with an argument session in the Senior High School auditorium on May 4, 2018. Nebraska Educational Television interviewed Debora Denny, Director of the Office of Dispute Resolution (ODR) and Alisha Jimenez, ODR’s Restorative Justice Program Analyst on March 22, 2018 regarding ODR’s restorative justice initiative, Victim Youth Conferencing (VYC). New managers and supervisors in the courts were invited to attend a four-hour course regarding topics specific to their role. This course was offered in conjunction with New Employee Orientation. Joyce Welsch, Director of Human Resources, was the instructor for the class of eight new managers from across the state. The course was presented on April 24, 2018, at the Judicial Branch Education offices in Lincoln. It was developed at the request of the Clerk Magistrate Curriculum Committee.Read more

In honor of Law Day, the Nebraska Supreme Court will be in session on the campus of Grand Island Senior High School on May 4, 2018.
